Our New York City, New York facility is looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced fulfillment team. This role is vital to ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and with care. You will be responsible for locating and picking items from inventory, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a dynamic environment. We are committed to a high standard of Safety and provide all necessary training and PPE. This position involves significant physical activity, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting of items up to 30 lbs. Your contribution is essential to our Logistics chain and maintaining exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using order sheets and scanning equipment.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify order accuracy before and after packing.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and warehouse area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming goods.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Follow all guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
- Contribute to meeting daily productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a picker or packer is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to wear and use required PPE.
