Our Cincinnati, Ohio facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing warehouse efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating variances, and reconciling inventory data. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). This position is integral to our overall Logistics operations, supporting accurate order fulfillment and effective supply chain management. We are committed to a safe working environment and require all employees to adhere to strict Safety protocols and utilize provided PPE. The role involves some degree of physical activity, including regular Lifting of items, so a capacity for this is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process for inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend actions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate inventory flow.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Assist in the physical inventory process.
- Uphold company standards for Safety and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and operate material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of Logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
