We are hiring a Shipping Clerk in Atlanta, Georgia, to manage the outbound flow of our products. This role is critical for ensuring that all orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and shipped on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and verifying shipment details. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and Safety are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL) to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match order details.
- Inspect packages for damage before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Ensure all necessary PPE is used correctly by team members.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and external partners.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our warehouse Logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and shipping best practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Logistics and inventory flow.
