Our Seattle, Washington facility is looking for a skilled Material Handler to manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining an organized and efficient supply chain. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. Your duties will include operating material handling equipment, performing inventory checks, and ensuring that all materials are handled with care and in compliance with company standards. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to workplace Safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for shipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all PPE requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Follow all established company policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and Lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain principles.
