We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding stringent Safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely to move inventory.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments and internal transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Ensure all materials are stored properly in designated locations.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and logistics personnel to meet operational demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices. Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
