Job Summary:
Join our growing logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the initial intake of all incoming products, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to stringent Safety standards. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying shipments against documentation, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering data into our system. We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining an orderly and safe work environment. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting, and proficiency with warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Accept and unload deliveries from various carriers, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Accurately compare received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately.
  • Record all received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare received goods for internal distribution or storage.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and associated areas.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve receiving issues.
  • Strictly follow all Safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar logistics role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with inventory control principles and WMS.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Commitment to Safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
