We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing logistics operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to prevent future issues. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure that stock levels are accurately reflected in our system, supporting efficient order fulfillment and supply chain management. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and the importance of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be key to your success. This role requires individuals comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and moving inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and report findings.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
- Collaborate with receiving, put-away, and picking teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, adjustments, and variances.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout for efficient inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct physical inventories, which may involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
