Our growing logistics operation in Baltimore, Maryland is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician. This role is critical for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facilities. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of warehouse equipment and infrastructure. You will play a key part in ensuring a safe and productive working environment for all staff. This includes performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventative maintenance schedules. A strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this position. You will be working closely with the warehouse management team to support daily operations and long-term facility goals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility, identifying and addressing any structural or safety concerns.
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Adhere to strict Safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed, understanding the broader logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or maintenance technician role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting as required for repairs and installations.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with basic plumbing and carpentry is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and logistics operations is beneficial.
