Our Cincinnati, Ohio logistics facility is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound shipping operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring that products are shipped accurately and on time to our customers. This involves verifying orders, preparing shipping documents, packaging items, and coordinating with delivery services. If you possess strong organizational skills and a dedication to Safety and efficiency, this role is for you. We are committed to providing a productive and safe working environment for all our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Generate and attach shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Verify that order contents match shipping manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping department workspace.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Be prepared to assist with Lifting items as required, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in a shipping or logistics role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical dexterity and occasional Lifting.
- A strong focus on Safety and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
