As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products to fulfill customer orders. This is a critical function within our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work with various picking technologies (e.g., RF scanners) and navigate our warehouse to locate and retrieve items. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. We emphasize adherence to safety protocols and require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all tasks, which may involve significant lifting and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders for packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics department.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with RF scanning equipment is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Experience in logistics is beneficial.
