Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify contents of outgoing shipments against order documentation.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure proper addressing.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving tasks as needed to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a logistics role is preferred. Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication skills. Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to use PPE.
