Your primary role will involve moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position is critical to the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely to their designated areas. You will be responsible for inspecting equipment before and after use, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting with general warehouse duties when not operating a forklift. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Transport raw materials, full goods, and finished goods to and from designated areas.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and arrange merchandise in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper material handling and documentation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring clear pathways and a safe working environment.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed, supporting the logistics team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a forklift operator. Valid forklift certification. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented. Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
