Join our thriving distribution center in Huntsville, Alabama, as an Order Picker! This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are precisely and efficiently assembled. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from our extensive inventory to fulfill outgoing orders. We value a strong work ethic and a commitment to accuracy, making this a vital role within our warehouse. This role demands attention to detail and physical stamina.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and retrieve specified products from inventory locations using a pick list or scanner.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Ensure the safe handling and movement of goods, adhering to all safety protocols and using required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to facilitate efficient operations.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and help maintain stock accuracy.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking process to a supervisor.
- Must be capable of lifting items up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain goals of the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- A strong commitment to safety and awareness of proper lifting techniques.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
