As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. You must be proficient in operating various types of forklifts and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols. This position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting. We expect all operators to wear appropriate PPE and maintain a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any maintenance needs or issues.
- Transport goods between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist in inventory control by accurately moving and staging products.
- Load and unload trailers in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all pathways are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or unsafe practices.
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down, stand-up, and/or reach forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
