We are seeking a skilled professional to join our high-volume warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring that materials are handled correctly and that our warehouse remains organized and productive. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to transport goods throughout the facility. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all established protocols and guidelines. This position involves significant physical activity, including lifting and maneuvering materials. We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a proven track record of safe operation. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards.
- Follow all logistics and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual.
