Join our Cincinnati, Ohio team as a Material Handler! We are seeking reliable individuals to assist with the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for supporting our production and logistics operations, ensuring that materials are readily available and handled efficiently. You will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified) as needed.
- Organize and stack materials in designated areas, ensuring proper storage.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as order picking or packing.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and operations departments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of basic inventory control principles is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
