We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Portland, Oregon facility. This leadership role is critical to the smooth and efficient functioning of our logistics department. You will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, managing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics principles. You will play a key role in optimizing workflow, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring the accurate and timely movement of goods. Commitment to employee Safety, including proper training on and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. This role may involve some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting, but primarily focuses on management and coordination. Join our team and help shape the future of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse associates, providing training and performance feedback.
- Oversee daily operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement control measures.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers and ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Implement and enforce all warehouse Safety policies and procedures, including PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting.
- Address operational issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, Safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with WMS software and other relevant technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and employee well-being.
- Ability to perform occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
