Our rapidly growing logistics company in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying package contents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and understands the importance of Safety in a warehouse environment. We value our employees and provide a supportive work atmosphere, emphasizing the correct use of PPE. This role may involve some Lifting and physical handling of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipping documentation.
- Verify accuracy of items being shipped against orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Label packages accurately for domestic and international shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is worn by all personnel in the shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Safety practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform light Lifting as needed.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
