We are seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers to join our fast-paced logistics hub in New York City, New York. In this role, you will be essential to the efficient and safe movement of goods within our facility. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of warehouse operations, from receiving and stocking to order picking and shipping preparation. We need individuals who are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, demonstrating accuracy in their tasks, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. This position offers a chance to be part of a dynamic team in a challenging urban environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against documentation.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection and compliance with shipping standards.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required), safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to all Safety protocols.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
- Perform tasks requiring manual labor, including frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds, using proper body mechanics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and proficiently, including obtaining necessary certifications.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and logistics best practices.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and performing frequent Lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
