insurance industry
is seeking a
Data Analyst (Finance)
to join their growing finance team. This is a newly created role focused on supporting
financial reporting, data integrity, and cross-system data workflows
as the organization continues to modernize its systems and reporting infrastructure. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with
13 years of experience
who has a strong foundation in
data analysis, reporting, and financial data , and is comfortable working across multiple systems to ensure accurate, reliable insights for the business. Role Overview This position sits at the intersection of
finance, data, and systems , supporting the finance team by managing and transforming data across platforms, maintaining reporting processes, and ensuring data accuracy across systems. You will work closely with the
FP&A Manager and finance leadership
to support reporting needs, improve workflows, and contribute to ongoing system enhancements. Key Responsibilities Data & Reporting Collect, validate, and consolidate data from multiple systems into centralized reporting outputs Build, maintain, and update recurring financial and operational reports (primarily in Excel and reporting tools) Support dashboard development and reporting workflows (Tableau or similar tools) Respond to internal data requests, providing accurate and timely reporting Data Transformation & Systems Work with data across multiple systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy Support data transformation processes (ETL-style work), including cleaning, structuring, and validating data Assist in maintaining and improving data workflows across platforms Support data cleaning efforts using internal systems (e.g., FileMaker or similar tools) Finance & Data Integrity Assist with financial data validation, ensuring accuracy across reporting outputs Support month-end reporting processes and financial analysis Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and data integrity issues across systems Process Improvement Identify opportunities to automate or streamline reporting processes (e.g., VBA, scripting, or workflow improvements) Document recurring processes and improve reporting efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data flow and reporting accuracy Qualifications Experience 13 years of experience
in data analysis, financial analysis, reporting, or a related field Experience working in
larger or mid-sized organizations
with multiple systems and stakeholders preferred Technical Skills Strong
Excel skills
(formulas, lookups, pivot tables; VBA is a plus) Experience with
data querying or transformation tools
(SQL, ETL processes, or similar concepts) Experience with
data visualization tools
(Tableau, Power BI, or similar) Familiarity with databases or structured data environments (e.g., Access, data warehouses) Ability to work with and integrate data from multiple systems Finance & Business Knowledge Exposure to financial data, reporting, or accounting concepts Experience working with financial datasets or supporting finance teams Professional Skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines Comfortable working in a
fast-paced, evolving environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Curious mindset with a focus on understanding the why behind data Compensation & Benefits Base salary:
$60,000 $75,000 (depending on experience) Eligible for an
annual bonus program Comprehensive benefits package Work Environment Initial
in-office onboarding and training Transition to
primarily remote work 12 days per month in office
