What You'll Do: At SCA, you'll play a key role in driving our mission to keep communities clean and safe across the country. As a Security Administrator, you'll help support our dedicated field teams and deliver critical services that make a visible impact every day. Whether you're leading people, optimizing processes, or providing essential support, your work will contribute directly to our successand to the communities we proudly serve. Your Daily Impact: The job responsibilities below outline the core duties and expectations of a position, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals. However, as business needs evolve, these responsibilities may shift over time to reflect new priorities, processes, or technologies: Security Operations & Monitoring:
Assist with daily security operations and monitoring activities under the guidance of the Security team. Security Tools & Technology Support:
Help maintain and operate security tools (endpoint protection, email security, logging, vulnerability management). Security Incident Response:
Assist with security incident response activities (alert triage, evidence collection, documentation, escalation). Compliance & Audit Support:
Support compliance and audit efforts (SOC 2, access reviews, evidence collection, policy support). Security Awareness & Training:
Promote security best practices and assist with security awareness initiatives. End User / Desktop Support:
Assist with desktop and end user support (Windows/macOS laptops, peripherals, printers) if needed. IT Provisioning:
Work with IT to provision laptops and cell phones as needed. Asset Management:
Manage the asset inventory in the Tampa office if needed. Minimum Job Requirements Minimum job qualifications define the essential skills, experience, and abilities needed to succeed in the role. They set the baseline for hiring but may evolve as the job and business requirements change: Education:
Bachelors Degree Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field Experience:
2+ years experience with IT support, system administration, IT security Field Experience:
Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals Technical Skills:
1+ years experience preferred Microsoft Azure / Entra ID:
User and group management & MFA and Conditional Access support Microsoft Defender:
Defender for Endpoint & Defender for Office 365 (phishing and malware investigations) SIEM / Logging:
Experience working with Sumo Logic SIEM (alert review, basic investigations, dashboards) Productivity & Endpoint Tools:
Endpoint patching and protection Asset & Access Management:
Hardware inventory tracking & User onboarding/offboarding workflows Certifications:
1 or more strongly preferred CompTIA Security+ CompTIA CySA+ Microsoft AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) Microsoft SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) Microsoft MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) Microsoft SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst) Skills & Competencies Skills and competencies define the abilities and behaviors essential for success in the role. Understanding of security tools, endpoint protection, device management, and basic IT infrastructure (Windows/macOS, email systems, logging tools). Attention to Detail & Analytical Thinking:
Ability to accurately monitor alerts, review logs, support audits, and identify inconsistencies or potential risks. Collaboration & Communication:
Works effectively with Security and IT teams, clearly documents incidents, and helps promote security best practices to end users.
