Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Software Engineer
to join our Agile/Scrum team supporting our enterprise integration and API platform built on
IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
and
IBM API Connect (APIc) .
In this role, you will design, build, and optimize integration services and APIs, collaborate with Product and Architecture to define platform capabilities, enhance automated testing and CI/CD quality gates, and help internal teams adopt and effectively use our integration services. You will also leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to increase speed, reliability, and consistency of delivery.
Required Qualifications
Senior-level software engineering experience in integration, APIs, or middleware platforms. Hands-on experience developing solutions with
IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
or comparable integration technologies (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, etc.). Strong experience designing and implementing APIs using
IBM API Connect
or similar API gateways. Proficiency in languages commonly used for integration/API development (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, etc.). Solid understanding of API security (OAuth2/JWT), throttling, rate limiting, and traffic management patterns. Experience collaborating with QA to support
automated testing
of APIs and integration services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting across distributed systems. Experience with EDI formats (e.g., X12) or file-based integrations, including transformation and validation within integration flows Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with product, architecture, and application teams. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in large-scale, multi-team enterprise environments. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) and integration of automated tests into deployment workflows. Experience using
AI/ML-powered tools
to accelerate engineering tasks. Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industry requirements. Experience with observability tools (Splunk, Instana, DataDog, AppDynamics, etc.). Education
Bachelor's degree or higher, e quivalent work experience considered.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
