Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for manufacturing equipment and automation. Troubleshoot and debug existing embedded systems, PLCs, and industrial controls to minimize production downtime. Integrate embedded systems with factory automation, SCADA, and MES platforms for data acquisition and control. Optimize embedded software and hardware for performance, reliability, and energy efficiency in production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements and ensure seamless implementation. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals for embedded solutions. Ensure embedded systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements for manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development on microcontrollers. Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming. Strong understanding of digital and analog electronics, including reading schematics and datasheets. Hands-on experience with embedded debugging tools (JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, CAN) or PLC integration. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA, EtherCAT, PROFINET). Familiarity with PLC programming or integration with industrial automation systems. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles. Experience integrating with industrial vision systems or robotics.
