About Us

Founded in 1987 by a passionate group of foster parents, we are proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we continue to thrive, driven by our commitment to support looked-after children.

Our founders recognized the unique challenges faced by children with difficult beginnings and placed their needs at the heart of our mission. This is the essence of our Integrated Services Programme (ISP) —a holistic approach that surrounds children with a comprehensive range of support services.

Today, our network includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all collaborating to provide the best care for foster parents and the children they nurture. We pioneered this therapeutic approach to fostering, and it remains central to our work.
