Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup schedules and ensure timely departures.
- Verify outgoing shipments against order records for accuracy in items and quantities.
- Inspect packages for proper packaging and sealing to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate shipping software and systems to track shipments and manage inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers regarding shipping status.
- Assist with other logistics tasks as needed, including occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common office applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and procedures.
