As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting inventory. You'll play a critical part in our supply chain by ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment, reporting any defects or issues.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all logistics and warehouse operational guidelines.
- Experience with lifting and securing various types of loads is required.
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to operate forklifts in various conditions and spaces.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Safety Emphasis:
A strong emphasis on safety is fundamental to this role. You will be required to consistently follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper wear and use of PPE.
