Seeking a certified Forklift Operator for our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse. Your expertise ensures the efficient and safe handling of goods, contributing directly to our logistics operations. This position requires a strong focus on Safety, a valid forklift certification, and the ability to work in a dynamic warehouse environment. We are committed to providing a safe working atmosphere, including the provision of all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse as directed.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain organized storage of materials.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Properly stack and secure loads.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics processes.
- Wear required PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
