We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in St. Louis, Missouri. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to Safety standards. This leadership role is critical to managing the flow of goods through our logistics network, from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management best practices. You will be responsible for motivating your team, optimizing processes, and ensuring the safe handling of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Monitor performance metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Implement and enforce Safety procedures, conducting regular Safety audits.
- Manage workload distribution and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices, including the importance of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
