We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our robust logistics facility in Columbus, Ohio. The Forklift Operator is essential for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport inventory to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. A strong commitment to Safety and proficiency with various types of forklifts are critical for success in this role. This position is key to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring operational excellence in our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials accurately.
- Perform routine checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and shipping processes as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear all required PPE , including hard hats and safety vests.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Excellent safety record and understanding of material handling best practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
