We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Des Moines, Iowa warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and commitment to **safety** are paramount. This position is key to maintaining the flow of goods within our **Logistics** operation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and inventory within the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Accurately locating and retrieving inventory for order fulfillment.
- Stacking and arranging merchandise in designated storage areas.
- Conducting daily inspections of forklifts and reporting any issues.
- Adhering strictly to all **safety** regulations and procedures.
- Assisting with inventory management, cycle counts, and stocktaking.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborating with the warehouse team to ensure operational efficiency.
This position requires the ability to perform **Lifting** tasks and the operation of heavy machinery. You must possess a valid forklift certification or be able to obtain one. Appropriate **PPE** will be provided. Experience with warehouse management systems and a good understanding of **Logistics** are highly valued.
