Join our vibrant logistics team in San Antonio, Texas, as a Material Handler! We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to manage the flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring that materials are handled correctly from receipt to dispatch. Your daily tasks will include organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and operating material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials and products.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring accessibility.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and proficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Properly wear and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety regulations and protocols.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage during movement and storage.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and any issues.
- Understand the principles of efficient logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems is a plus.
- A strong dedication to Safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
