Our Tampa, Florida facility is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that all items are accurately accounted for and processed according to company procedures. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies, and coordinating the movement of received goods to their appropriate storage locations. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will work closely with vendors and internal departments to resolve any receiving issues promptly. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to our supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Document all discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Inspect incoming goods for quality and condition.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or internal distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities.
- Support the Logistics team with inbound information.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations is preferred. Basic computer skills, including data entry. Ability to perform moderate Lifting and be on your feet for extended periods. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
