Become a vital part of our operations as a Forklift Operator in Nashville, Tennessee! We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a strong adherence to all Safety regulations. You will contribute to the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timely movement of inventory. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Retrieve and deliver merchandise to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Ensure all goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental goals.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- Understand and follow Logistics procedures for material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or documented proof of training.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of forklift operational procedures and Safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics and shipping/receiving processes.
