We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in the heart of New York City, New York. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This role is crucial for the efficient functioning of our logistics network, ensuring that our inventory is managed effectively and customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced urban warehouse environment. You will be expected to maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhere to all company Safety protocols, and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a busy distribution center and gain valuable experience in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
- Store inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Pick and pack orders accurately based on order slips or RF scanner data.
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining stock accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
- Follow all Safety procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and Safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting, standing, walking, and bending.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Adaptability to work in a busy urban setting.
