We are looking for a reliable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is vital for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining records, and ensuring that all inventory is handled properly. This position is key to our logistics network and requires a commitment to Safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling.
- Arrange for freight and shipping carrier pickups.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Manage inventory in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving dock is clean, organized, and Safe.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and use required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is required.
- Proficiency with shipping software and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks involving manual handling and Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE, such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
