We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and ensuring optimal stock levels. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse logistics. Your efforts will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Commitment to Safety is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching transactions and physical stock.
- Process inventory adjustments in the WMS system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure the proper organization and storage of inventory within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and other key metrics.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
- Contribute to improving warehouse logistics through accurate inventory management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse environment. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, WMS, and ERP systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse setting. Comfortable with occasional Lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with general logistics operations is beneficial.
