We are looking for a detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our busy logistics center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products from our warehouse inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your tasks will include reading pick orders, locating items on shelves, carefully packing products to prevent damage, and ensuring orders are correctly labeled. This position is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and possesses a strong commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of PPE. You must be comfortable with physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and standing for extended periods. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for quality and any potential damage.
- Pack items using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing and labeling packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management by reporting stock discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform other duties within the logistics department as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus. Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and accuracy. Must be able to stand for long hours and perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs). Strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance is a must. Must be willing to use PPE and follow all safety protocols.
