Our growing logistics company in Minneapolis, Minnesota is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. In this role, you will operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a steady workflow, ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time, and contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. Responsibilities include pre-operation equipment checks, meticulous housekeeping of the warehouse floor, and assisting with inventory management tasks. Safety is our top priority, so adherence to all safety regulations and the consistent use of PPE is required. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, is reliable, and has a proven track record of safe forklift operation. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately and securely.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner within designated areas.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and debris-free work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable forklift operating experience. Certification is required. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures. Excellent spatial awareness and manual dexterity. Must be dependable and committed to safety. Willingness to wear appropriate PPE and follow all company guidelines.
