As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse, locate specific items using order sheets or scanning devices, and prepare them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and correct delivery of products to our clients. You will work with a variety of goods, requiring careful handling and attention to detail. A key aspect of this position is maintaining an organized workspace and contributing to the overall efficiency of the distribution center. We prioritize safety above all else, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory. This position involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and possess strong organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Read and understand order forms to accurately locate and retrieve products.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and confirm item selection.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of required PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities as needed.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned.
- Understand the flow of goods within the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is beneficial.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Capability for lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
