A dynamic opportunity exists for a skilled Forklift Operator in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania warehouse. This role is critical to our logistics operations, involving the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and organizing inventory using powered industrial trucks. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and prior experience are essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move palletized loads, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Demonstrate safe lifting techniques for non-palletized items.
- Support the broader logistics team in daily tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with certification or documented training.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Familiarity with logistics processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure workplace.
