Our busy fulfillment center in Boston, Massachusetts, is looking for meticulous Order Pickers to join our dedicated team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving products from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our efficient logistics operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods. We prioritize a safe working environment and foster a culture of teamwork and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using pick lists or RF scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Transport picked items to the packing station in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring aisles and shelves are clear.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking targets and support overall logistics goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. repetitively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
