We have an exciting opening for a Receiving Clerk in our busy Phoenix, Arizona logistics center. This role is fundamental to our operations, serving as the initial gateway for all incoming goods. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently and accurately receive, inspect, and document all shipments. This involves unloading delivery trucks, meticulously checking items against purchase orders and shipping manifests, and promptly identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages. You'll be utilizing scanning technology to update inventory records in our system. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized receiving area is essential for efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is dependable, has a sharp eye for detail, and understands the critical importance of accurate inventory management within a logistics framework. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a stable work environment. Safety is paramount; therefore, adherence to all safety standards and the use of required PPE is mandatory. This position involves physical work, including the capability for regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Your contributions are vital to our supply chain success. Essential duties include:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Verify received goods against shipping documents, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Inspect all incoming products for quality, damage, and accuracy.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the warehouse management system using scanners.
- Report any shortages, overages, or damages to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Organize and stage received inventory for timely put-away.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of necessary PPE.
- Must be physically capable of consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
