We are seeking energetic Material Handlers to support our logistics operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be essential to the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment safely and accurately. This position is ideal for individuals who are physically capable, safety-minded, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring correct handling of all inventory.
- Transporting materials between different areas of the warehouse (receiving, storage, shipping).
- Organizing and maintaining inventory in designated storage locations.
- Assisting with inventory counts and accuracy checks.
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and free from safety hazards.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Supporting the logistics team to meet operational deadlines.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives.
The ideal candidate will have good physical strength, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Previous experience operating forklifts or other heavy warehouse machinery is highly desirable. This role involves significant lifting and physical activity. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide thorough training to ensure all our Material Handlers can perform their jobs effectively and securely. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs frequently.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Dedication to following safety procedures and using PPE.
- Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
- Team player with good communication skills.
