Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, contributing directly to the efficiency of our supply chain. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety, and you will be expected to conduct daily equipment checks, follow all operational procedures, and wear appropriate PPE at all times. This role may involve some manual tasks, including moderate Lifting, so physical stamina is important. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for material handling tasks.
- Load and unload merchandise from delivery vehicles and into warehouse storage.
- Transport goods to and from various departments within the facility.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations.
- Use and maintain all required PPE throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory control activities and stock management.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics operations.
- Perform occasional manual labor, including moderate Lifting, as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and relevant operating experience.
- Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse Safety standards.
- Ability to perform physical activities, including moderate Lifting.
- Excellent spatial reasoning and precision.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Experience in the logistics or distribution industry is advantageous.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE requirements.
