We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy facility in Detroit, Michigan! This role is fundamental to our logistics and order fulfillment process. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. You will work with handheld scanners and other equipment to ensure precision in picking. This position requires focus, speed, and a strong commitment to accuracy. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority, and all employees must comply with safety regulations and wear the necessary PPE. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of packages and moving throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders for shipment in designated areas.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking area.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE consistently.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as directed.
- Perform moderate to heavy Lifting as part of daily duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and labels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capacity for frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management concepts is a plus.
- Commitment to following Safety protocols and wearing PPE.
