Our growing logistics company is seeking motivated Distribution Center Associates for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is integral to our daily operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient handling of goods from receiving to dispatch. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess excellent attention to detail, and prioritize Safety above all else. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be a key contributor to our team's success, ensuring that our logistics processes run smoothly and our customers receive their orders promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, packing, and preparing shipments.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts) and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently after training.
- Utilize RF scanners to manage inventory movements and pick orders accurately.
- Ensure all items picked match order requirements and meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and checks to maintain data accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, strictly following all Safety procedures.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
- Properly don and doff all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
- Effectively manage the Lifting and handling of merchandise, employing safe ergonomic practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics role is a significant advantage.
- Proven ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and competently.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and RF scanning technology is preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform tasks involving manual labor, including Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety guidelines and regulations.
- Flexibility regarding work hours and assignments.
