Join our dedicated logistics team as an Order Picker in our bustling Fort Worth, Texas distribution center. As an Order Picker, you will play a critical role in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment. This position requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to maintaining operational efficiency. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing advanced picking technologies and adhering to strict Safety guidelines. Your attention to detail will ensure that our customers receive exactly what they ordered, contributing to our reputation for reliability and excellence in the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick items from warehouse shelves according to generated pick lists or RF scanner directives.
- Confirm product codes, descriptions, and quantities match the order requirements.
- Assemble customer orders, ensuring all items are present and in good condition.
- Prepare picked items for staging and shipping, which may include basic packaging or labeling.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, with proper training.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring adherence to Safety standards and procedures.
- Participate in regular inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or issues to the warehouse supervisor promptly.
- Follow all guidelines for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Employ safe and effective Lifting techniques when handling merchandise of varying weights.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting, specifically as an order picker, is beneficial.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flows.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding environment.
