Material Handler –
Stand up, Reach truck exp is a plus.
SUMMARY:
· Performs multifunctional duties in a warehouse environment related to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and the put-away of parts.
· Responsible for checking and maintaining incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Must have the ability to perform all operator functions such as put-aways and picks.
· Generally works from written orders but may work from verbal orders if necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Work from an order picklist/RF scanner to fill customer part orders from warehouse bins.
· Responsible for grouping parts together according to the order pick list and transporting the accurate parts to packing.
· Proper and accurate count is required for each order before packing the order in a suitable manner.
· Responsible for completeness or accuracy of orders. May need to complete orders that are not filled completely prior to packing.
· Performs tasks necessary for shipping and/or receiving of parts. • Receiving functions include counting and examining to verify completeness against shipping documents, checking for damaged goods, and keeping records of shortages, exceptions, and damage.
· Shipping function includes weighing and addressing, attaching postage or making up and attaching bills of lading, and keeping a record of goods shipped.
· Has final responsibility to see that shipment is complete and correct prior to shipping, including but not limited to checking the contents of outgoing orders or shipments to see that quantity, quality, labeling, etc, compare with an order pick list, correct any errors which may have been made.
· Prepare and maintain records of receiving/shipping reports and other related documents.
· Perform all necessary system transactions and make corrections when required.
· Must have the ability to operate an electric-powered forklift truck to move, stack, and load or unload materials.
· Work may include using banding machines, tape machines, FR scanners
· Performs other duties, as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
· Team player!
· Proficient in PC-based software programs a plus but not required.
· Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
· Positive attitude.
· Ability to meet deadlines. Accuracy and time elements are crucial.
· Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, reach, bend, squat, kneel and spend the majority of the workday walking and standing on a concrete surface.
· Requires the ability to follow basic written and verbal instructions.
· Mathematical ability to change and correct data to ensure accuracy.
· Work well under pressure, be flexible and cooperative.
