Your Role as a TutorAs a full-time Tutor at Redstone Hall School, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' personal and academic development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing student well-being, readiness for learning, resilience, and behavior management.
- Collaborating with the Education team to remove barriers to learning.
- Promoting positive learning behaviors among students.
- Leading classes during PPA and absence cover, with planning support from teaching staff.
- Delivering enrichment activities during golden time.
- Assisting in lessons to support academic understanding and emotional needs.
- Responding to immediate concerns and clarifying situations.
- Creating and collating information related to lessons and interventions.
- Advocating for the ethos of Redstone Hall School.
- Leading on Reading and Phonics, reviewing student progress.
- Developing the role of Pupil Voice and liaising with SLT about the Pupil Council.
- Building relationships with parents/carers and participating in transitions and consultations.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A strong educational background, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as HLTA.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
- Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in areas like Food Hygiene, Forest School, Lunchtimes, or School Yoga.
- Experience in behavior management techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
