General Surgeon needed in southeastern Vermont just 2 hours from Boston and Burlington in community known for its vibrant arts scene, outdoor lifestyle, and known as one of the "best small towns in America". The hospital serves a population of 55,000 in rural towns in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The 61-bed, not-for-profit health system has more than 130 specialty and primary care physicians plus NP and PA support.
Competitive base salary plus production incentives.
Responsibilities include performing common general surgical procedures such as hernia repair, cholecystectomy, endoscopy, appendectomy, management of small bowel obstruction, colorectal surgery and skin and soft tissue surgical procedures..
The surgeon also provides evaluation and management of acute and chronic wounds within the Wound Clinic's multidisciplinary model..
